NewsTheme of the year 2011: stewards and villainsThe permanent exhibition is currently being reworked. The second phase of the project presents the residential museum with some newly staged displays. Silhouette films and audio clips takes you from the residential museum and the jail back to the past world of Lenzburg Castle’s stewards and villains. In the rooms of the bailiff’s castle you learn more about the tasks and everyday lives of the families of the two bailiffs Adrian von Bubenberg (15th century) and Peter Bucher (17th century). A wall in a cell in the castle’s original 17th century jail tells you the tragic story of the Bärtschi brothers who were remanded in custody at Lenzburg Castle for several days in 1626.Watch the broadcast on Swiss Television, 31.3.2011 "SF Schweiz aktuell" (in German)
