Impressum

For centuries the strategically well-positioned region between the rivers Aare and Reuss was repeatedly the focal point of world affairs: from a Celtic settlement to a Roman legionary camp and late antique fortress to the headquarters and convent of the Habsburgs.

The convent was secularised in 1528 and the choir windows are noted as points of interest in travel guides. Since 1803 the convent is owned by the Canton of Aargau. Today, Königsfelden Convent Church is managed by the Museum Argovia and can be hired for events
