Erklärung zum Bild: For 700 years, the Abbey Church in Königsfelden has been one of only a few examples in Switzerland of palatial architecture. The colourful church windows are among the highlights of Late Medieval European glass-painting. The church and double monastery were founded as a Habsburg place of remembrance by the widow of the German King Albrecht I of Habsburg, who had been murdered in 1308. The dance company Flamencos en route will fill the church with new life from 22/5 to 14/6/2009 with their piece “caleidoscopio”. Let yourself be inspired!
