Professions subject to authorizationPractice of a self-employed profession does not fundamentally require previous authorization. Exceptions occur nonetheless, in cases where the safety of people or the environment could be endangered. The Health Ordinance in Canton Aargau and the Swiss Food Legislation contain regulations regarding the authorization requirements for self-employed practice of certain professions (e.g. midwife, optometrist, and druggist). Such activities as operation of a personnel agency or that of door-to-door salesman are also subject to authorization.Further information is available to you from the Bureau for Economy and Employment (Amt für Wirtschaft und Arbeit). |
